I'm delighted to see the plan's emphasis on maths and science in schools, and commend its strong focus on education and knowledge. This is crucial for South Australia to be a competitive economy and a community that offers opportunity to all. Also, this updated plan puts a strong stake in the ground for South Australia as a place to come for leading-edge research and innovation.

Chief Scientist
Progress report | Print |
South Australia’s Strategic Plan (SASP) was launched by the Government of South Australia in March 2004. It contained 84 targets, most of which had a 10-year timeframe for achievement.  The Government committed to a report to the public every two years on progress against the plan’s targets. The 2006 report is the first of those reports.

The Government requested that the report be compiled by an independent advisory body, the South Australia’s Strategic Plan Audit Committee
