The Audit Committee has met at least once every quarter since August 2004. It considers detailed reports from government agencies and also interviews agency representatives where necessary.

The Audit Committee does not comment on government strategies nor makes recommendations on policies in pursuit of the targets. The Audit Committee produces a Progress Report every two years (the first published in June 2006 (PDF 4.71 MB)).

Membership of the Audit Committee includes one non-government representative from each of the South Australian Government’s major advisory boards.
