The Economic Development Board called for a whole-of-state strategic plan and has been pleased to be associated with its update. The business community would benefit from considering all of the SA Strategic Plan targets when making their own longer term plans for operations in this state.

The 12 Regions | Print |

There are 12 Government regions in South Australia: four in metropolitan Adelaide, three in the greater Adelaide area and five in rural South Australia.
Government agencies use these 12 regions as the basis for reporting and for planning.
South Australia’s Strategic Plan uses the 12 regions as a basis for ‘regionalising’ the Plan.  During 2008 the rural and greater Adelaide area developed their own regional plans.  These are available on this website.
During the first half of 2009, regional plans for the metropolitan area will be developed.
